Came out of a construction store last night, after purchasing some sheet-rocking tools and materials to prepare and outfit my "Gallery over the Garage". And was met by a gorgeous sunset. I must be on the right path since this felt like a confirmation.

Of course, the pictures one takes can never quite capture the grandeur and the feelings of the instant. There was so much depth, and perspective, and contrast in the layers. This is about Living the Moment. I soaked it in and snapped away for about 30 minutes as the sun receded and the palette changed.

I got plenty of images and perspectives, never enough, to inspire numerous paintings and backgrounds for already listed projects and subject matters. These images and colors fit some of the subject matter I am currently investigating and also fit with the seeds of what I have painted previously. Part of the preparation for the next leg of the Journey, I think. Gathering the supplies.

So the evening was nothing short of an inspiring drama suggesting a broad, colorful horizon in the distant but foreseeable future and portends a bright and beautiful, new day forthcoming. Living the Moment.
